Our fantastic member florist Renny & Reed in New York City, (rennyandreed.com) created a couple of garden inspired bouquets that were recently featured in the February/March edition of Modern Bride.

As quoted from the article, “Some wedding dreams are worth indulging; other times you have to curb the urge to splurge. Here, both options.”

Our new member Muscari, in Milwaukee, WI, was featured in The Bride and Bloom Spring 2009 edition.  For this wedding, the couple chose a color combination of coral pink and light beige.   Muscari’s bridal bouquet incorporates these colors as well as accents of white and brown.  The flowers used are hydrangea, stephanotis, roses, spray roses, chocolate cosmos and monkey’s tail, collared with seeded eucalyptus.  To compliment, the boutonniere is designed with spray roses, hanging amaranthus and monkey’s tail.

For the main table, a tall crackle finish vase acts as the support for an arrangement crafted from white hydrangea, monkey’s tail, willow and hanging amaranthus cascading down the sides.  Three small arrangements of spray roses balance the base with the top.  Placed on the smaller tables are arrangements in glass rectangle vases embellished with a French satin wrap and filled with hydrangea, willow, hanging amaranthus, monkey’s tail and roses.  As a delicate touch, neatly folded napkins are placed on each plate with roses, monkey’s tail and stephanotis sitting atop.

The happy couple were two high school sweethearts reunited after years apart.  The setting was the Old Federal Reserve Bank in San Francisco, California.

Designer and member florist, Paul Robertson, www.prfloraldesign.com, set the tone for this romantic and emotional pairing with jumbo rice-paper-wrapped lanterns and a red rose petal lined aisle for the procession.

Robertson’s simple and elegant gold candelabra centerpieces, bedecked with loose spheres of red roses and delicate tendrils of ivy trailing from below, were adorned at the base with gorgeous red rose petals.

The bride’s bouquet was a generous offering of gathered red peonies, while the bridesmaids carried complimenting bouquets of red tulips, with Black Beauty and Baccara roses of a traditional design.

Our NYC-based member florist, Artfool, was featured in the Winter 2009 edition of Elegant Bride.  Artfool’s Matthew Robbins created the arrangements for the wedding of Evelyn Vera and Joel McKoan, held in the Italian Renaissance-inspired gardens of the Caramoor Center for Music and the Arts in Katonah, NY.  Robbins worked with the pair to incorporate the natural beauty of the site, choosing flowers in muted pinks, peaches and greens.  The bouquets for the bride and bridesmaids consisted of peonies, orchids, hydrangeas and roses.

For the tented reception, centerpieces with these same, more colorful varieties plus sweet peas and ranunculus were used.  A single orchid on each napkin and flowering garlands with ribbon wrapped around the poles of the tent finished Robbins’ design. www.artfool.com
